Speak Up for Trails

Why Advocacy

We cannot take trails for granted. When they are threatened with detrimental impacts, action is necessary through raising awareness, attending local municipal meetings, and traveling to Albany, Trenton, and Washington, D.C. to speak to elected and government officials. And so we advocate for the preservation of trails the Trail Conference has built and maintains, and the lands upon which trails are situated.

Advocacy Impact

When members of the Trail Conference have spoken up for trails, often working with partner organizations, great things have been accomplished.
