Hunter Brook Linear Park
Directions
From the Taconic State Parkway, take the Route 202 Exit and head west. At 0.6 mile, turn left onto Pine Grove Court. Immediately turn right onto Old Crompond Road. Go 0.3 mile and turn left onto Hunterbrook Road. Go 1.1 miles to Fox Tail Lane and turn right. Parking is on the right side of the road. If using GPS navigation, Fox Tail Lane is near 1682 Hunterbrook Rd.
Park Overview
The wooded area in Hunter Brook Linear Park is composed of stands of Norway Spruce, beech, oak, maple, and tulip trees. The park is home to mink, muskrat, native brook trout, sunfish, frogs, and salamanders. An agreement with the developer of adjacent housing and the Town of Yorktown in conjunction with Yorktown and Westchester Land Trust have made Hunter Brook Preserve possible.
Trail Overview
The two entrances trails are in developments lead to a bridge over Hunter Brook. They connect to a loop trail making a 1.4 mile or 2.8 mile hike possible.
